Ralph has over 30 years of experience in meeting, planning, and corporate communications. He founded EWC in 1990 and has built the company into a diverse organization. Ralph formerly headed East West Consulting, which specialized in marketing communications and public relations. He was director of marketing communications for Johnson & Johnson where he managed marketing and communications programs for the pharmaceutical sector. At Bristol-Myers Squibb, Ralph was Manager of Public Affairs, Consumer and Healthcare.

My personal passion: I’m an avid art collector and interior design enthusiast. I collect works of art during my extensive travels around the world. Making a difference in the lives of others is important to me and I want to do that by mentoring young professionals and encouraging others to dare to dream to realize their full potential.

Faith West Gorman, MBA, CMP, CSEP, CFEE

Director, Meetings and Events

Faith has over 25 years of experience in the event and meetings industry.  She has served as an Executive Director of a non-profit, Director of Special Events and Protocol for a large healthcare organization and was the owner of her own event management firm in New Jersey for eight years.  She has been the recipient of numerous industry awards, is certified in International Protocol and presently serves as the resident expert at the college level as a Professor of Event Management.  She has worked internationally and embraces challenges with infectious enthusiasm.  Faith finds her joy in encouraging others to embrace creative and critical thinking.  Her favorite expression “ If it ain’t broke, smash it to pieces.”

My personal passionI’m the quintessential hockey mom. When I’m not banging on the glass, shouting loudly and embarrassing my kids, I love being creative in whatever form it takes.  Whether it’s sewing costumes for a play, designing a space or writing a book, I enjoy the creative process.  Simply love the excitement of travel and am grateful for the quite moments drinking wine with a good friend.

Adrienne has been affiliated with East West Connection since 1990. She has held various management positions at the company ranging from new business development to managing sales incentive programs. Adrienne currently oversees the company’s Quality Initiative that ensures the highest standards are met at all times. Adrienne also works with government agencies on new business opportunities.

My personal passion: I love food. I spend my leisure time shopping for new kitchen gadgets, experimenting, creating unique meals, and enjoying the fruits of my labor with my wonderful family and friends.

Mary Ann Buccino

Meeting and Event Planner

Mary Ann Buccino has 11 years of experience planning corporate meetings and special events for groups ranging in size from 5 to 600+. She is proficient in association management, having developed policies and procedures and served as primary customer service contact and information source for a 150-member professional association. Mary Ann also has experience in recruiting and training and development, and has an M.S. in Industrial Relations and Human Resources Management from Rutgers University.

 

My personal passionI love doing whatever I can to stay active and healthy, especially walking, hiking, biking, and kayaking with my husband, and teaching fitness classes.  I also love cooking and sharing delicious food with family and friends.  Good thing I like to stay active!

Meetings and Event Coordinator

Alexis joined East West Connection in June of 2017 with a wonderful history of Customer Service experience. In her last position was with Bendon, USA in New York City, she worked directly with the clients, acting as the main contact to handling issues, creating and running reports to keep both client and management informed and updated on timelines and issues. Her multi-tasking abilities also allowed her to work closely with Marketing, Public Relations and Finance. Alexis also worked as an intern to the Creative Director at The Altman Building, where her responsibilities included creating proposals for new clients, designing floor plans, setting up the event space, and budget management.

My personal passionI enjoy spending time with family and friends, especially on a football Sunday. I hope to travel to many places around the world and be a happy dog mom in the future.

Jackie Fowler

Budget Manager

Jackie previously worked at Janssen Research & Development, LLC. where she negotiated and maintained contracts. She was responsible for ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and procedures, and troubleshooting discrepancies pertaining to purchase orders, requisitions, supplier deliveries, prices and quality. Prior to that, Jackie served as Analyst, Meetings Management for Janssen Pharmaceuticals where she collaborated with Meeting Managers and Finance. She successfully managed spend for meetings in five continents including North America, Asia, Australia, Europe, and Africa.

My personal passion: I knit, crochet, do crafts and spend quality time with my family and 11 year old daughter on our farm in New Jersey. I look forward to visiting with family in South Africa and traveling extensively to places like Greece, Australia and France.

Human Resources & Office Manager

Linda has a distinguished career specializing in Human Resources and Office Management. Prior to joining EWC, Linda served as Office Manager for Ike Brothers Transport of Long Valley, NJ. For nine years, Linda was Human Resources and Payroll Manager for Gateway Outdoor Advertising where she was responsible for managing human resources in nine national offices planning corporate functions and events, coordinating community outreach, and overseeing corporate giving.

My personal passion: I enjoy cooking and baking with my family, and just spending time with them. I still contemplate going to law school one day. I am a youth adviser for senior high students and love being their mentor.

Jackie comes to EWC with a Bachelor’s of Science from East Stroudsburg University with a major in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. She was recently a Guest Services Manager at the Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse in Florida before her return back to her Pennsylvania roots. She has an extensive background as a Catering Sales Manager for Wyndham, managing the planning and details of all events for their clients including Pharma for which she was responsible for contracts, budgets, room blocks, customer service and much more.

My personal passionI enjoy being active; whether I am out exploring a new destination, attending a sporting event, playing sports, going to a concert or show- I am almost always on the go. Creating memories with my family and friends is also very important to me.

Leigh Johnson, is a highly motivated and personable leader with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and motivate colleagues. During her career of more than 25 years, Leigh has excelled in project management, operations, client service, and planning. Leigh spent eight years at Johnson & Johnson where she forecasted, planned, developed, and executed national and regional sales meetings impacting over 10,000 attendees for four pharmaceutical franchises each year. Prior to joining EWC, Leigh was Director of Business Development and Account Management for On The Scene – The Event Company.

Jenny Jongema began her career with East West Connection as a Meeting and Event Coordinator in 2014. Working her way to Junior Meeting and Event Planner, Jenny has managed and executed major details of National Sales Meetings, Incentive Trips, Global Meetings, Congresses, Advisory Boards, and POA’s.  Jenny describes herself as a “detailed oriented individual” who loves to roll up her sleeves, jump into the thick of things and provide her clients with the most excellent customer service.

My personal passionI love anything that keeps me active and healthy, both mentally and physically. 
Whether that means taking a workout class, building and maintaining a home with my husband, getting
lost in a health food store, or chasing my 2-year-old Goddaughter around the yard, I adore it all.

Joseph Lambert

Joseph (Joe) Lambert brings a wealth of business experience and expertise in account management, operations, sales and strategic planning to East West Connection. For over four and a half years, Joe worked for ADP TotalSource, received numerous promotions, and served as District Manager with the responsibility of fostering strong relationships with an extensive array of small and large companies.  Joe also worked for three years as Client Service/Tax Supervisor for CheckPoint, where he managed a portfolio of 100 clients conducting client meetings to assess needs and determine best practices for resolving issues.  He restructured client workflow processes to ensure customer needs were fulfilled within the desired service level agreement and provided world class levels of service.

 

My personal passionFor over 15 years, I have exceeded both my personal and professional goals. Much of my success is due in part of my enjoyment of collaborating with a variety of people. Connecting with people and understanding their viewpoints helps me provide a well-balanced approach in all that I am involved with. Further driving my passion to become the main link to a chain of success both personally and professionally.

New Business Development

Missy has over 25 years of experience in meeting planning, event management, sales and marketing/promotion. Missy previously worked for Maritz/Maxvantage on-site at Daiichi-Sankyo managing meetings, both domestic and internationally. Prior to this, Missy worked at BCD Meetings and Incentives on-site for Pfizer where her focus was on the Emerging Markets business unit planning international meetings, ad boards, investigator meetings, sales training and congresses. She planned incentive programs (Chairman’s Award) and product launches. In 2013, she was named “Meeting Planner of the Year” by the New Jersey Meeting Professionals International.

My personal passion: I enjoy traveling, entertaining, interior decorating, new experiences and devoting time to animal advocacy. One of my favorite quotes is “It’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” – Abraham Lincoln

Kevin joined EWC in 2012 and brings a wealth of design knowledge to the company.  He is a graduate of Pratt Institute and holds a BFA degree in Fine Arts in addition to over 10 years of experience in art and design.  Prior to Kevin joining East West Connection, he worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer in the New York/New Jersey area where he worked on a wide range of projects including print, digital, mobile apps, experiential marketing campaigns, and 3D rendering.

My personal passionI am a huge fan of design and illustration and enjoy traveling the world to seek out inspiration and new

Ashley has nearly a decade of corporate planning and project management experience. She has been involved in all aspects of meeting management such as: site sourcing, budget development and tracking, vendor management, attendee management, and more. Ashley used her varied skills to plan over 70 events in 2016 while providing overall account management and financial tracking to over 110. Before joining EWC, she was a meeting planner with Westfield Group where she executed a variety of events such as dinner meetings, hiring events, and advisory boards.

My personal passion: Growing up in a diverse household (Asian mother, American father), different cultures have always intrigued me.  I love learning about and visiting new places – I do a lot of research before I go anywhere!  I also am deeply passionate about local businesses and the accompanying emerging trends of local craft beverages and farm-to-table dining.  Whenever I travel, I make sure to find a hidden gem to visit.

Emogene has 20 years of experience in event planning and project management. She has led teams responsible for planning and executing large-scale, multi-day conferences and programs throughout the United States and abroad. Prior to joining East West Connection, Emogene served as Vice President of Meeting Operations at the Urban Land Institute. There, she managed a team of seven meeting planners, and managed more than 100 meetings each year. 

My personal passion: I love cooking, art, music, reading, mentoring young people, and exploring.

Mubeen has over 20 years of experience in collaboration, partnership and solution. Expert strategist, offers a rich blend of accounting, operations, administration, and leadership. Has proven track record of reorganizing, streamlining, and strengthening financial operations to maximize business performance and profitability. Prior to joining EWC, Mubeen served as a Controller for DiversityInc, a leading diversity management consultant and hosts of various corporate diversity awareness events.

My personal passion: I spend my leisure time with my wonderful family and friends on traveling, entertainment and exploring new places.

Cheryl has 19 years of corporate experience in event planning and project management. Cheryl has successfully organized multiple planning projects simultaneously while working as a Meetings and Events Manager for UC The Source, Inc. Previously at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Cheryl served as a Resource Manager where she was responsible for contract negotiations for over 60 domestic and international meetings annually. In addition, Cheryl served as the lead planner for Medical Education programs planning Advisory Board Meetings, its Speakers Bureau and Investigator Meetings.

My personal passion: I relish spending time with friends and family.

Chevon has creativity and passion in her DNA. An entrepreneur at heart, Wallace’s extensive background in the entertainment, marketing and project development fields, lends to her ability to masterfully execute client’s needs. Delivering satisfactory results, Wallace’s focus lies in business management and growth, as seen in her work in entertainment, banking, retail, health care, pharma and insurance. Before she was a part of the EWC team, Wallace broke ground as a Principal Consultant at Steel Magnolia Group, Inc. serving several high profile clients and brands.

My personal passion: I am very passionate about my worldwide, volunteer Bible education work and serving where the need is great, entrepreneurship, traveling, vinyl records, great food, all things about a healthy, simplified lifestyle and discovering new things I can make in my Vitamix blender and put in an essential oils diffuser.
